A viola is crafted of about 80 parts, together weighing in at little over one pound. It's a delicate structure that is precisely engineered to withstand nearly 70 pounds of string tension. To a layman, all violas may look alike. To the expert, however, no two instruments are identical.

Unlike other instrument families we sell our string instruments a la carte: instrument, bow and case do not come together in a package, the player chooses each item separately. This helps the player to pick out not only the correct instrument, but the bow that makes that particular instrument speak, as well as the case to protect it. Many of the instruments can be special ordered the way you specify, with options including: size, levels of antiquing, fittings style and wood choice, as well as strings.
