Custom: Custom flutes represent the epitome of Powell instruments. These handcrafted flutes are a mélange of personal choice and timeless artistry, with soldered or drawn tone holes, pinned or pinless mechanism, beautiful keywork, and extensive choices. All include 10k white gold springs, traditional adjustments, pointed arms, and Straubinger pads. They are available in Sterling Silver, various Gold Karats, Aurumite® 14K, Platinum, and Grenadilla wood.
Conservatory: Mr. Powell made his first conservatory flute in 1928, called the Commercial model. Today’s Conservatory models combine the aesthetics of the traditional Handmade Custom model with Powell’s Posi-Stop™ tail design, and are available in Sterling Silver or Aurumite® 9K.
Signature: The Signature flute is crafted of sterling silver, using proprietary technology to produce such a high quality instrument that Verne Powell’s own signature is engraved on the flute. The Powell Signature headjoint is designed to be easy to play, while being colorful, focused, and flexible. These headjoints are hand cut by professionally trained craftsmen who also craft Powell’s Custom headjoints.
