Since Brannen Brothers was founded in 1978, they have earned a worldwide reputation for unsurpassed excellence. Throughout the flute community, Brannen is known as the company that leads the way in innovation. Every flute and headjoint bearing the Brannen Brothers’ name is handmade in Massachusetts to exacting standards of craftsmanship, and displays the most advanced mechanical design and acoustic technology available in the world. Brögger: As their most popular instrument, this flute combines the traditional fingerings of the Boehm system with the numerous advantages of the Brögger Mekanik™. This mechanism increases the reliability of the keywork and reduces internal friction, allowing keys to be adjusted precisely to your preferences. A soldered tonehole flute, the Brögger offers a vast array of options, including choice of materials and custom keywork, all hand-tailored to your needs. Millennium: This flute features a pinned mechanism, designed with Brannen Brothers' unwavering excellence and attention to detail. The Millennium is made of a .016" or .018" sterling silver, is a drawn tonehole flute, and features Brannen Brothers’ most sought after options. Lafin Headjoints: Lafin headjoints are outstanding for their extended dynamic range in all registers and for a wide range of tone colors. There is a single style of Lafin headjoint, made with or without the Adler wings. These headjoints are exclusively handcrafted by Brannen Brothers Flutemakers. Mr. Lafin visited the U.S. and spent significant time training Brannen’s headjoint makers to craft Lafin headjoints to his exacting professional standards. These are genuine, original Lafin headjoints; not a Lafin style copy as offered by other companies. There are several metal choices available, with or without 14K rose gold Adler wings.
